How do I leave an organisation that is my home org?

I have created an account and paid for a business license of MS Office myself, then linked it to an organisation for use in contracting work. I would now like to unlink the organisation however it is the only org linked to my account it will not allow me to do so, nor can I use MS apps without being on the organisation account.

I am not the admin of the organisation nor have any control over the permissions granted to myself on my own license apparently. The only solution seems to be to delete my account and buy a new license.

Thanks.

    Hi @Tony Hill

Based on my knowledge, for a Microsoft 365 business license, you need a user ID, also known as a work or school account. Then there should be an administrator role. Most of operations on user accounts, subscription plans need the administrator permission.

But you siad you are not the admin, I am afraid you have no permission to unlink the organization.

For a confirm, I suggest you contact Microsoft supporter online directly, as such accounts issues are not supported on Q&A forum ~

    Thanks for your understanding.
