Couple Access files not opening on 1 PC, just give spinning circle

SO I have been trying to find a solution that a few users are having on 1 PC. There are 4 older Access files (.mdb) on the network drive and when they open them and print the report from them then try and open the next one, they just get a spinning cirlce that never goes away until you end the task. Sometimes they can open a couple before they get that spinning cirlce, and sometimes they don't even get to print the report before getting it.

The odd thing is that these files work perfectly fine if the users log into a different computer, it just seems to be that one PC and only for these 3 users. We use Office 2016 here jsut FYI.

I have tried just about everything I can think of, I have reinstalled Office, ran SFC, cleared all temp files, reinstalled the printer, and even created new .accdb files by copying all the tables, forms, etc from the files into new files, but even those did the same thing.

I am kinda at a loss of what to try next.

    Hi,

It seems like the issue might be specific to that one PC and its configuration. You could try the following steps:

    1. Check if there are any pending Windows updates and install them.
    2. Run a virus scan on the PC to make sure there are no malicious programs causing the issue.
    3. Try disabling any anti-virus or firewall software temporarily and see if the issue persists.
    4. Check if there are any add-ins or plugins installed in Access that might be causing the issue and try disabling them.
    5. Check if there are any network or permission issues that might be preventing the users from accessing the files properly.

    Best Regards.
