I have a project that was originally written in Windows and my organization recently changed to using MacOS. When trying to import the project, it complained that it cannot be imported. However, using a different Windows environment, it was imported without issue. Can projects be worked on both MacOS and Windows? We have team members who work on both Windows and MacOS.. need to know if they are interoperable.

It's based on .NET Framework. It's a simple WIndows Form App that reads and writes to a text file and then calls a batch script. It was originally written in Windows a few years back and checked in to Git. Now we need to make some updates and there are Mac and Windows developers working on it. The project can be imported to VS2019 in Windows, but not Mac. -
