What are the key differences between Azure monitor and Azure managed Grafana. And why go for Azure managed Grafana if we already have Azure Monitor

    Hello @wendpanga ouedraogo ,

    yes, if you are able to log in to the Azure Portal, you probably have the right to check out Azure Monitor (workspaces) too.

    For those not allowed to access Azure Monitor, the Grafana plugin can be an outcome.

    As a separate visual layer with separate credentials, you can still provide value without exposing the complete Azure Monitor logic underneath it.

    Azure Monitor Workspaces are included and easy to share. Theses use a broad but limited set of tiles and design options. You might use PowerBI or Grafana if you want more granular visualization tools or if you want to create displays that can be viewed without logging on the Azure portal. Some customers may also have prior Grafana experience and may perfer those visualization tools.
