Hello,

I want to migrate my sccm installation (2203) to another server with a newer sccm install (installed from scratch with the lastest version : 2303) because i want to rebuild all. My SQL server is on another server and is ok. I want to keep my packages, applications, TS, collections, reports.....

Is it possible to do this ?

    Hello @FRANCOIS Olivier !

    Welcome to Microsoft QnA!

I understand you want to migrate SCCM 2203 to new SCCM Server already installed with same version

Please have a look here :

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/migration/administrator-checklists-for-migration-planning

    And here:

    https://www.anoopcnair.com/sccm-server-hardware-migration-configmgr/

    https://home.memftw.com/configmgr-site-backup-restore/

This is feasible and i can provide the high level steps :

    • Configure the site settings on the new SCCM server to match your existing SCCM installation. This includes settings such as site code, site name, boundaries, site system roles, and database information. Ensure that the new SCCM server is connected to the same SQL Server where your SCCM database resides.
    • Export the packages, applications, and task sequences from your existing SCCM installation and import them into the new SCCM server. This can be done using SCCM's built-in export and import features.
    • Export the collections from your existing SCCM installation and import them into the new SCCM server. Again, this can be done using SCCM's export and import capabilities.
    • If you have custom reports in your existing SCCM installation, export them and import them into the new SCCM server. Ensure that any necessary dependencies (e.g., SQL queries, data sources) are also migrated.
    • Double-check all the settings and configurations on the new SCCM server to ensure they match your requirements. Review the site settings, package/application/task sequence configurations, collection memberships, and report configurations.
    • Once the migration is complete, thoroughly test the new SCCM server to ensure that all packages, applications, task sequences, collections, and reports are functioning as expected. Verify that clients can communicate with the new SCCM server and receive deployments correctly.

I have also found this as another approach

    I hope this helps!
