WinX folder content changing post Win 10 upgrade

Hi All,

The device X when it was Win 10 v 1909, The C:\Users__<UserName>__\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WinX\ folder got Group 1 folder and under that we have Desktop shortcut

post upgrade to Win 10 V 21H2, we have additional folders under C:\Users__<UserName>__\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WinX\

How can I prevent this ?

    Hello Santhosh Basavarajappa,

    Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

    WinX folder is the location where stores system tool or application shortcuts. It chould be changed after Windows OS upgrade.

    Press Win+X, you will find all shorcuts are devided in to three part.

    By default, there will be 3 groups in WinX menu. Group1 indicates top part, group2 indicates middle part and group3 indicates bottom part.

    Hence, it's not recommended to change folder content inside to avoid any unintended consequences.
