How about the "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead" link under settings/ account ?
Hi, is your work email (******@hcapvltd.com) a Microsoft account? sorry if i misunderstand you.
if you could just log in https://account.microsoft.com/ to make sure your work email is properly linked to microsoft account. by the way could you provide more detail about 'Now it seems impossible for me to delete this personal email address and switch it to the work email address.' is there any error messages? did you try to follow the link provide above to switch to your work account?
