One of our employees saved a letter from Outlook (.msg) to a folder on their pc then sent it to a shared folder via webpage. But some of the letters in this file became corrupted. This problem only appears when we try to open file via webpage. File name doesn't have any special characters. How do we fix it? Thanks in advance!

    Hi @Frydabest ,

One of your employees saved a .msg file locally and then uploaded it to sharepoint right? Then only when opened via webpage, some of the letters in this file became corrupted. Am I understanding this right?

Since we can't reproduce your situation, we need to narrow down the problem and try some things.

1.Please Right-click the file in the desktop folder, and then click Open With . Try to use webpage to open this .msg file locally to see if the file itself is compatible with the webpage application.

Context menu with Open With selected.

2.Try to change another browser to open through webpage in sharepoint. Did the results change?
