Visual Studio Xamarin iOS Simulator Won't Run

Hey guys,

I'm running Visual Studio 2022 Professional (17.5.5). I've created a single-view iPhone app, installed Visual Studio for Mac on my Mac, Installed XCode on my Mac (from the Mac app store), and successfully paired my Mac with Visual Studio on my Windows box. I've also enabled sharing on the Mac, and listed "All Users" as the allowed users. The application even builds successfully.

But every time I try to debug with iPhone Simulator as the target, I receive the error "Please select a valid device before running the application". I've tried everything I could find on Google, short of reinstalling XCode - but nothing works.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

-- Allen

    Hello,

Installed XCode on my Mac (from the Mac app store)
    reinstalling XCode

If you reinstall the latest Xcode from AppStore, the Xcode Version is 14.3.

You can try Visual Studio 2022 version 17.6 Preview 7, this version adds Xcode 14.3 support to .NET MAUI and Xamarin.
Or you can download and install the final builds into your Mac to test on Xamarin:

For more details, please see [META] Xcode 14.3 Support for Xamarin, .NET 6/7 and MAUI · Issue #17561 · xamarin/xamarin-macios · GitHub and follow the progress.

    Best Regards,
