Workday Provisioning AD with Future dated Conversions Incorrectly

Scenario -
We have future dated conversions when the old profile is still active. We implemented the Workday Provisioning Group as described in the section detailed below.
Our issue -
The provisioning group is assigned to both profiles in Workday. They are linked profiles with the same employee ID. Therefore, If I filter out users based on that attribute, then it filters out both profiles incorrectly.

One option would be to create a new provisioning group in Workday for the Active profiles and then implement logic to add only the active employees to this group. Then you could update the Azure AD app to read this group and create a scoping filter to exclude workday profiles that are part of this group. That way, the provisioning change would happen only on the day of conversion.
