Having OneDrive automatically sync files

Question

I recently switched from Dropbox to OneDrive and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make OneDrive automatically sync all files, all the time.

With Dropbox it was easy. You don't have to do anything. A file gets updated on one computer or from the web and it syncs it everywhere else automatically.

With OneDrive I make changes to a file on another computer earlier in the day, and then in the evening when I get home it still hasn't updated and I don't even see any options to force it to sync the files.

Surely there's an easy way to make this happen.
