How do I remove a device that shows up in device manager, from an offline image?

Basically, I have an image that is used for mass production on hardware. I have a device (that shows up in device manager) that is a USB LCD device. Without having to spin up the image and manually removing/deleting that device from device manager, I want to be able to remove this from the offline image. Through registry I presume.
Any ideas if this is possible?
