Sharing failed. The sharing operation failed due to an unexpected failure condition

Question

We want to share a file with external user, using these steps:-

1. Access the document advance permission page
2. Stop permission inheritance
3. "Grant Permission" >> uncheck "Require sign-in"
4. click on Share >> but we got this error:-

any advice..now our site allow external sharing with Anyone option, as follow:-

Hi John,

I tested it in my environment and it works fine without your problem.

Then we do some regular troubleshooting:

1. Please check and share the same situation with other external users
2. Please clear the browser cache or use the private mode to try
3. If Require sign-in is checked, can the share be successful?
