I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim5 Pro AMD Rayzen 5 laptop that is running Windows 11. When I install SQL Server 2022, my database engine gettting failed.

Erland Sommarskog 120.5K Reputation points MVP Moderator2023-05-14T20:22:36.67+00:00 This is a generic error message which means that SQL Server did not start when Setup wanted to run configuration scripts.
As the message says, you need to check the SQL Server errorlog. You find this file in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL16.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\LOG\ERRRORLOG. (The exact can vary depending on installation options.)
If you see a message towards the end about 256 misaligned reads, you are encountering a known issue where Windows 11 for some disk drives report a sector size that SQL Server cannot cope with. Microsoft has published this article with workarounds.
If you don't see anything about misaligned reads, you are running into something else. Feel free to attach the errorlog file to this thread. You will need to rename it to ERRORLOG.txt to be able to upload it.
