Reading Pane, not fully adjustable in the new outlook

Question

I switched to the new outlook and found the reading pane is much less adjustable. Will this be fixed in the new outlook or is there a setting that can change this functionality. I usually set it to the right when i have a large screen. bottom on a smaller laptop screen. I need to be able to adjust the width as far to the right as necessary to see more of each email column information in the middle & quickly. same with the left side folder tree. Current outlook I can make the sides much more narrow than the new outlook. not all the columns are visible if the reading pane & folder list are not more adjustable.
