Windows 11 Forcibly Hibernating

I recently began testing out Task Sequences within MECM in preparation of our switch to Windows 11. The Task Sequence completes fine, however upon logging into the computer after it completes the computer will suddenly and without warning enter hibernation mode after a minute or so. I've confirmed this is happening on multiple models of computers that were imaged on Windows 10 just fine, so whatever is causing the problem seems to be specific to Windows 11.

I've already gone into cmd and confirmed that our current power settings we use forbid the computer from entering sleep and hibernate, but that doesn't seem to make any different. Event Viewer just states the following when the forced hibernation occurs:

The system is entering sleep. Sleep Reason: Application API

Running the powercfg /SleepStudy command also showed that an application is forcing the computer to hibernate, but didn't include any identifying information I could use to determine which program is causing the issue.

I also tried using this freeware tool to see if it would give me more information on these forced hibernations, however it did not.

This issue is occurring on Dell desktop computers, so far I've only tested it on OptiPlex 3060s and 3070s (both of which are listed as compatible with Win 11) but the exact same issue was present on both. Neither computer had this issue on Windows 10, and it only began happening when a fresh image of Windows 11 was installed. I can confirm that the issue continues to happen on both Win 11 21H2 and 22H2.

    Hi, @Austin

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Is this issue only happened on Windows 11 by SCCM task sequence?

Have we tried to check if there is the same issue on the Windows 11 imaged by other method?

@AllenLiu-MSFT A bit of a resolution but we ended up finding out that the power management software NightWatchman has a known issue with Windows 11 that causes this to happen. I couldn't find any documentation online of others reporting the problem but the solution seems to be just to uninstall the NightWatchman Agent for now.
