I have an open-source python-based application on github to provide translation of scientific papers. Recently I'm going to develop a kivy-based GUI for users, but my GUI is marked as virus by windows defender. I'm wondering how do I avoid this from happening. Do I need to write code in a less "harmful" way or get some certificate from microsoft or some organizations?

    Hi.

As far as I know, self-developed software needs to be signed with a certificate to be trusted by Windows Defender.

For questions about obtaining certificate signatures, it is recommended to post a post in the Developer Network forum to consult relevant technical support.
