How to fix microsoft remote desktop Error code: 0x204

I have set up Microsoft remote desktop to access my Windows pc from a macbook. The connection works on my home wifi but is now resulting in the Error code: 0x204 when I'm connected to my school wifi. I dont think the school is blocking it but it because I also get the same error when im connecting using my mobile hotspot.

    Are you using port forwarding or VPN to connect from outside of local network ?
