Webmaster Tools returns URL cannot appear on Bing even though Bing search guidelines have been followed.
Everything seems to be in place, robots.txt, sitemap.xml with status Success & URLs discovered in Webmaster Tools.
But it still doesn't turn up in Bing.

The strange thing is that if we inspect the Live URL in URL Inspector it returns It can appear on Bing Search results given it passes quality checks and gets indexed by Bing and have for several months but it never gets indexed.

    Hello @Olovolo

Thanks for reaching out to us, but sorry this is not the best place for Bing Webmaster's questions, the tag you used is for the Search API only - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/bing/apis/bing-web-search-api

Based on my personal experience, if you have followed Bing's search guidelines and ensured that your website's robots.txt and sitemap.xml files are correctly set up, but your website still does not appear in Bing search results, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Verify Bing Webmaster Tools Setup: Double-check that your website is properly set up in Bing Webmaster Tools. Make sure you have claimed ownership of the website, submitted the sitemap, and confirmed that Bing is able to access your website.

Indexing Timeframe: Keep in mind that search engines may take some time to index new websites or changes made to existing ones. It could take several days or even weeks for your website to appear in Bing search results. Be patient and monitor the situation.

Quality and Relevance: Bing's search algorithms consider various factors to determine the relevance and quality of a website. Ensure that your website offers valuable and unique content, is well-structured, and follows SEO best practices. High-quality and relevant websites are more likely to rank higher in search results.

Backlinks and Social Signals: Backlinks from reputable websites and social signals (engagement on social media platforms) can improve your website's visibility in search results. Make sure you have a healthy backlink profile and promote your website on relevant social media channels.

Crawling and Indexing Issues: Check if your website has any crawling or indexing issues that may prevent Bing from properly accessing and indexing your pages. Use tools like the Bing URL Inspection tool to identify and resolve any potential issues.

Penalty or Violation: It's possible that your website has violated Bing's guidelines, resulting in a penalty or exclusion from search results. Review Bing's guidelines again and ensure that you haven't unintentionally violated any of their rules. If you suspect a penalty, submit a reconsideration request through Bing Webmaster Tools.

    1. Competitive Landscape: Keep in mind that search results are highly competitive, and your website may be outranked by more established or authoritative sites. Monitor your competitors' strategies and work on improving your website's content and authority over time.

If you have thoroughly examined these steps and are still experiencing difficulties with your website appearing in Bing search results, you may consider reaching out to Bing's support team for further assistance.
