Hi @ Vinod Survase,

By default, creating a service account/service principal cannot send mail from the application. You need to set the relevant permissions for it and create a client app that can access the Microsoft Graph API to send email.

I noticed that you mentioned any failures here, can you clarify whether it refers to an error in the application or in your tenant?

Failure means we have a third party app for data management and wanted to know if that data processing was failed then does it send such notifications as well or no?

Hi @ Vinod Survase,

By default, if you don't set up error alert message in the app, no message is sent to the distribution group when an error occurs.

It is recommended that you contact the application's support to see if the app has built-in commands and settings for sending email.

Thanks for reply. We have checked that with app provider but seems its not clear yet what exactly is the requirement. I will check and let you know.
