Unable to connect to Azure virtual desktop I just created

I have created a Azure Virtual desktop that I would like to test for Multi-session use. The environment completed successfully but I am unable to access the virtual machine. When using RDP with the test user account I initially setup the credentials are accepted but I get an error message " The connection was denied because the user account is not authorized for remote login.

I have tried using Bastion but still cannot access because no of the credentials work. If it is this hard to get into the Virtual desktop just to set up and load apps how I'm I suppose to deploy. 3 months ago I had tested another Azure VDT instance and did not have any problems. What has change in the last 3 months?

Any suggestion on how to gain access to this VM and them deploy to a small group of users would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Craig

    Hello,

Can you verify if you have assigned users (your test user) to an application group within the host pool?

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/create-application-group-workspace?tabs=portal#assign-users-to-an-application-group

You will also need to give users permission to sign into AVD. This is easily done at the resource level.

I added the user role for that member but still had credential problems and could not connect. Decided to start over from scratch.

When trying to create another AVD I am running into errors when deploying

"The resource write operation failed to complete successfully, because it reached terminal provisioning state 'Failed'"

Posted another question in hope of resolving this new issue.
