Powershell script to delete folders under Winx

Team,

I am looking for a script which should delete folders under C:\Users\BRXXXX\Appdata\Local\Micorsoft\Windows\winx\GROUP2 and GROUP3

and i need to retain the folders under winx for Administrator, defaultuser ,Default ,Public

Please help

Yes as mentioned by MotoX80, i have many users whose login ID starts with BRXXXX (X is 4 digit numbers). Your script is deleting for one users.

@MotoX80, I checked your script and its not working. Can I have complete script which can be used to delete multiple users.

What error do you get? Are you running the script with "Run as Administrator"? Does it populate the $foldersToDelete variable?

Does this command list your users?

Get-ChildItem -path c:\users -filter "BR*"

Please find the screenshot. It wont pop up any screen post running the script. Yes, i am running powershell as admin.

In the script that Tushar posed, he hardcoded the folder names into the $foldersToDelete variable. The next part of his script processed the folder names that were in that variable.

All I did was to show a code snippet that looked at the users folder and built the $foldersToDelete variable dynamically based on the folder contents.

In the image that you posted, all I see is my code that builds the $foldersToDelete variable.

Where is the code that processes the folder names? You have to add in the rest of Tushar's script if you want the script to actually do something with the folder names.

I executed the above script and i get below error but folder exists

I misspelled Microsoft. The script has Micorsoft, the o and r need swapped.

You have it misspelled in your initial question. I must have copied that.
