Hello Yoganand Vedagiri
You are correct that Azure Backup currently does not support backup for Azure Files NFS (v4.1) shares. However, Microsoft is actively working on adding this feature to Azure Backup, and it is expected to be available in the near future. Unfortunately, microsoft did not share any specific timeline for when this feature will be released.
In the meantime, you can use alternative options like Azure File Sync to replicate your Azure Files NFS (v4.1) shares to an on-premises file server or another Azure region. You can then use a backup solution to back up the replicated data. This approach provides an additional layer of protection for your data and can help ensure that you can recover your data in the event of a disaster.
Also, there are some alternate backup solutions that you can consider. One option is to use a third-party backup solution that supports Azure Files NFS (v4.1) shares. There are several backup solutions available in the Azure Marketplace that support Azure Files, including Commvault, Veeam, and CloudBerry.
