office patching issue with SCCM

Hi Expert,

I am facing issue with office patching issue, there are around 50+ workstations on which patches not getting installed. i have observed that its happening since last month.

Other application and OS patches getting installed on workstations only issue with office 365 patching

Error Description- The Job already connected (0x87d0024a)

Cannot create another system semaphore (0x80070064)

Hi @TechUST,

Please help check if ApiClient.dll exists under path C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\ApiClient.dll. If not, please help check if there are any machines have successfully installed the update and copied it manually from these machines.

Hi, I have checked, on error state machines for error "The Job already connected (0x87d0024a)" ApiClient.dll file is there.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\ApiClient.dll.

I have checked alternethandler.log on few machines and found below error-

Cancel download action failed. ReturnCode = 0x8000000e

Can you please suggest if you have any other troubleshooting steps. Thanks

1, This problem maybe come when we are running SCCM Environment as English and in we environment has multiple language office installed Like English and French.
We could check the appropriate language for the client in the language selection:
