Prevent changing proxy setting in GPO not working

The option to "Prevent changing proxy settings" in the GPO I created in AD is not working. I created a policy to only allow certain machines and users to be able to only access chosen websites. After testing I found the Policy works however I also setup the same policy to prevent users from being able to change the Internet properties Proxy settings by selecting the option "Prevent changing proxy settings" to enabled, for both "Computer configuration" and "User Configuration". When I login to the workstation I indeed see that the policy is working and that I can only access the websites I chose however I do still have the option to change the proxy settings. I've researched this to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

    Hello RockmanIT,

Thank you for posting in our Q&A forum.
You can use User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer

1.Put domain users in OU and link GPO with (User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Prevent changing proxy setting==>Enabled) to this OU.

2.Log in with one domain user to machine and check this gpo setting.

Once you complete the steps, the proxy settings available in the Settings app and through the Internet Options will no longer be available to users. If you have previously set up a custom proxy configuration, it will still be available, and users won't be able to change it.
