How to correct Authenticator passcode?

Military ID site requires six (6) digits for passcode, but Authenticator App displays eight (8)? Is there a fix for this? I haven't found the answer to this question.

If I understand you correctly, you authenticator app only shows a 8-digit code and not the Microsoft required 6 digit code.

Please try to add an additional login method in the account setting (https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info):

Add the authenticator app as a verification method again, go through the steps, and check if the app will show the required 6-digit codes.
