The internet is connected to the system but after the VPN is connected the internet connection is dropped automatically and the system shows "No Internet". I have tried to remove the VPN and add it again but it did not help.

    Hello @Mintu Kumar !

    Welcome to Microsoft QnA!

    You have a Routing Problem

If you have control over the VPN you can go to

VPN - Scroll Down - Change adapter options and find the Connection

Right Click - Properties -Networking - TCP/IP v4 and Advanced

In Ip Settings UNCHECK Use Default Gateway , in this way routing is going through your PC for all , except the VPN Networks

    I hope this helps!

    @Mintu Kumar

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.

I understand that your machine says "No Internet available" after connecting to Azure P2S VPN.

I suggested to check if this is a DNS issue or routing issue.

Interestingly, Internet seems to work from CMD and browser, only that the Windows Notification says that there is no Internet.

In this case, I suspect this an OS related issue (an isolated incident) and I believe we would require a specialized 1:1 session, where a support engineer can have a screen share session to pinpoint the issue.

    • Are you able to repo this issue in any other local servers?

Kindly let us know if this helps or you need further assistance on this issue.

    Thanks,

    Kapil

    Hello friend
I had the same problem and none of the solutions above my comment worked for me.
I fixed it myself , This is what I did : Go to Control Panel - Net Con - Wi-Fi - Internet Protocol Version 4 - Advanced - WINS - Change Default Into = Enabale NetBios Over TCP/IP

This worked pretty fine for me.

    Hi Guys,

    I've tested this issue.

    Steps performed:

    1. New Azure VPN config downloaded from the Azure Portal VPN Gateway P2S (doesn't work)
    2. ipconfig /all , route print, tracert, nslookup, test-netconnection, telnet, wifi/wired interfaces settings (all checked, no issues)
    3. The problem is somehow related to the the Microsoft EDGE web browser DNS settings. When open Microsoft EDGE -> Settings -> search for "dns" -> look for "Use secure DNS to specify how to lookup the network address for websites". By default there is a settings set "Use current service provider". To solve the case and have the internet connection while on Azure VPN select "Choose a service provider", click in the empty field below and select e.g. "Cloudflare (1.1.1.1)". It will appear as "https://chrome.cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query". Screens attached. Then reboot the web browser - Microsoft Edge - and the internet will start to work right away.

Security info: In this Cloudflare DNS is used to resolve your DNS queries. If you do not want to do that try with your own DNS servers or other DNS you prefer in this step.
