[Certification] What is the meaning of "Extend to {date}"

I have gained my "Azure Administrator Associate" badge last year, I know I should pass the renew exam this year in order to extend my certification expiration.

However, I saw it said "Extend to October 3, 2024" beside the Renew button while it still display as Expires on October 3, 2023. Which one should I trust?

    Hi,

    When you Renew your certification by passing the renewal assessment, your expiration date will be extended by 1 year. That is why it says "Extend to October 3, 2024" right next to the Renew button.

    I recommend you take the renewal assessment right away. It is a shorter test than the exam you originally took and is unproctored. There is no charge and you can re-take it if you fail.
