My phone was stolen, I have managed to recover most accounts, however tye authenticator app I use for university related things will not work. It keeps on taking me in a loop where it is trying to get me to authenticate the authenticator app. I have tried the back up however I never backed up my university email address to it, and it does not like it as it is not an outlook email address. I have been through Microsoft support and they said there is nothing they can do.

    Hi,

Can you contact your IT Admin to reset your MFA for your Azure Account as they will need to reset it so you can reconfigure the MFA - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/authentication/howto-mfa-userdevicesettings#manage-user-authentication-options
