Resolved! I uninstalled Microsoft Office and reinstalled it from the Microsoft website where I originally bought the license. This seems to have fixed the problem.

When trying to use or edit my Macros in 2019 Microsoft Word, I get a window popup saying "System Error &H8000FFFF (-2147418113). Catastrophic failure". This has never happened before and they were working fine last week; the only clue I have was it seemed to happen after my friend sent me back a Tracked Changes-enabled file I had sent to her, and after I downloaded it, my Macros stopped working. The only hints I can get through online searches say something about erasing images or forms, but I don't understand what they mean or what could be the problem. I have tried deleting the downloaded files and restarting, but it hasn't fixed it. If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it, as I need my Macros for my editing work.
Thank you,
Jennifer

Hi,
It's glad the problem is resolved.
Been getting this error message in the past few days. File contains a few simplistic macros. after the error message, the file will not save again, and all macros are gone.
I managed to retrieve everything with this procedure:
I can now access all my macros again
