Migrating from Exchange Online (plan 1) to MS 365 BUsiness Standard without losing previous email

Hi, at the moment we have those subscription:

  • Exchange Online (Piano 1) working with '@sienalegal.eu' domain
  • MS 365 Apps for business

We need to dismiss MS 365 Apps for business and pass to MS 365 Business Standard, that also include Exchange.

So if we pass to MS 365 Business Standard we won't need Exchange Online (Piano 1) any more.

But we need to be sure that we'll not lose all the previous messages that are inside our '@sienalegal.eu' mailboxes.

Is it possible to migrate from Exchange Online (Piano 1) to MS 365 Business Standard (that also include Exchange) without any service interruption of our '@sienalegal.eu' mailboxes?

Thanks for your help.

    Hi @Antonio Coppola

This seems like a viable approach; you can refer to the case below to replace the license:

Migration from Exchange Online to Microsoft 365 Business Standard Exchange

If you are still worried about the loss of emails, you can export all emails to PST for backup.

Export or backup email, contacts, and calendar to an Outlook .pst file
