According to this then the pgvector extension should be available for the azure postgres flexible server. The extension is, however, not available through the azure portal GUI nor is it possible to enable the extension through the azure bash cli - following the guidelines outlined here . Am I missing something or is the pgvector extension not available yet?

This feature is under our roadmap, ETA is CY23Q2, and to be more accurate it will be after the end of the current deployment (M28), for newly created servers it will be there as shown above for the server and for existing servers it will be in early June. Kindly check if your server is existing or a new one. Accordingly, you are requested to wait until the ETA to get this extension functioning. Thank you.

Ahh, I am trying to add the pgvector extension to an existing server, which is why the extension does not show up. I'll create a new database server and migrate data to that one so I can start experiment with the pgvector extension.

Ahh, I have been trying to add the pgvector extension to an existing postgres server, which is why the extension did not appear.
I'll wait until start of june for existing production databases and create a new server to play around with the extension.

Hi!
On May 19th, I successfully deployed Azure Database for PostgreSQL flexible server and added the vector extension. I utilized the development workload type and used PgAdmin as the client. I created an extension for the vector (refer to the image below).

However, whenever I attempted to run a query using the vector extension, I encountered a "Connection Warning" (see image below). Running other queries works fine.

Could you please assist me in finding a solution? Thank you.
