According to this then the pgvector extension should be available for the azure postgres flexible server.

The extension is, however, not available through the azure portal GUI nor is it possible to enable the extension through the azure bash cli - following the guidelines outlined here.

Am I missing something or is the pgvector extension not available yet?

    Hi Jonathan Prom Scharff •,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum and thanks for using Azure Services.

As I understand, you want to use pgvector extension in Azure Database for PostgreSQL.

Could you please open Azure Database for PostgreSQL flexible server-> Server Parameters-> Search for azure.extensions -> Enable Vector as shown below:

    Hi Kaja Kandare •,

We are sorry about the inconvenience.

This feature is under our roadmap, ETA is CY23Q2, and to be more accurate it will be after the end of the current deployment (M28), for newly created servers it will be there as shown above for the server and for existing servers it will be in early June.

Kindly check if your server is existing or a new one.

Accordingly, you are requested to wait until the ETA to get this extension functioning.

    Thank you.
