One of my user has mistakenly sent an email outside the company. The email is not supposed to be sent. Is there any way where we can warn users or put notification that they are sending emails outside the company. When i put an external email in To Field, i see a message The following recipient is outside your organization

According to my experiment, you can implement to notify senders when they are sending emails outside the company by creating mailflow rules, and below is my condition configuration for your reference:

@Glenn Maxwell By my test, configuring Mail Tip on also enables alerts when sending external emails.

In EAC, go to Recipients>Mailboxes，select the mailbox to open the properties page and Others

or cmdlet:

Set-OrganizationConfig -MailTipsExternalRecipientsTipsEnabled $true
