The server has gone down unexpectedly.

On the resource page I can see this message

"The server is currently in inaccessible state. Please wait for the operation to complete. You can refresh to check status. Reach out to Microsoft support if the operation is taking too long."

This has been going on for over 24h and no indication of what is happening.

Starting the instance will result in an error due to the status of the server

I've tried restoring into a new instance but it won't allow me indicating that the server is in that state.

Troubleshooting points at the resource health page which doesn't find anything wrong with it.

There's nothing on the activity log that might suggest a change.

Hi @wi77iam Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform, thanks for posting the question and for using Azure Services.

If the server is configured for CMK (Byok) and the server is inaccessible, then it means the access to the key vault is lost. I would check the CMK \AKV configuration and revalidate it to make sure the server is back to a ready state.
