Yes, if i remove the included folders from properties it goes back to normal. Would you like me to list every single thing that I've modified? It might be a lot and the issue only occurred recently

When adding things from Project->Properties to include things, my project just stops working, the code goes white and definitions can't be recognised

May I ask, what version of Visual Studio are you using(for example VS 2022 17.6)?
Are you using any extension?
Is this issue reproducible in a newly created project? If so, could you please share us some sample steps to reproduce this issue and check further?
Besides, does removing the hidden .vs folder in your solution folder and reset VS work?

2023-05-24T18:58:34.5833333+00:00 I'm using VS 2022, I'm not using an extension, it doesn't happen with a new solution and only happens with that specific project, and removing the .vs folder and reset VS doesn't fix it :(

Since the issue only appears in this specific project, the changed properties may provide us some clues.
Did you change some default directories? Does "Build" pass when using properties?
Please also close VS and try to remove ComponentModelCache folders in this directory: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\17.0_XXXXXXXX
