Configure SSRS behind Citrix ADM / Netscaler

Hi

I have set up SSRS2022 with scale-out deployment on 2 VMs which share the same database hosted on a SQL Cluster.

I wonder how the load-balancing Citrix ADM (Netscaler new name) must be configured to monitor SSRS web services.

Can we only perform an HTTP/HTTPs healthcheck or we can monitor more precisely by making sure that the URL virtualname/Reportserver/ReportExecution2005.asmx is sending an XML page back?

I believe I cannot perform the more accurate monitor because Netscaler does not have an AD login.

Any ideas?

    Thanks Olaf for your response. I am going to post a question on the Citrix forum.

    However my question remains as Citrix ADM could be replaced by any type of modern load-balancing device. What is the general rule to monitor the HTTP webservice of SSRS on each node to make sure that the load-balancer is switching over to the other node if the service is not available?
