Hi,

Our environment consists of 02 Windows 2008 domain controllers. As of domain and forest functional level also "Windows Server 2008". We have a SQL server running on Windows Server 2003 and Sharepoint 2013 server. I know these products have come to end of life but as of now we don't want to upgrade them.

However we need to upgrade our domain controllers to Windows Server 2019 or 2022. If we do the upgrade and raise the domain and functional level, will that make any impact on the SQL server and Sharepoint server?

Regards,

Kavindu

    Hi @Kavindu Dayananda ,

If migrating your farm to a new domain, you have to backup and re-create the farm. But in this case, you are just going to upgrade the Windows server version of your DC server, right? Actually, this takes no impact on SharePoint Server and SQL Server in my experience. So there's no need to perform any other operations regarding to SharePoint Server and SQL Server.
