HI
I have a question regarding Group Policy targeted to a security group.
I have two policies.

1.One targeted to server ou
2. The other targeted to Security Group

Scenario 1

I have added Computer accounts to the security group but not all. Only a group of them.

If i want them to revert back to the linked Server OU GPO, does the computer in the group require a reboot.

under gpresult for these computer is just says its filtered out.

Scenario 2

Or if i eventually have all computersin the server ou in the security group in gpo2. and i disable gpo1. and then remove the security group for gpo2 and its applied to the server ou. Does this require a reboot or as its is the same gpo that all the computer accounts have nothing will happen and life continues on.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

Group Policy is automatically refreshed when you restart the domain member computer, or when a user logs on to a domain member computer.

In addition, Group Policy is periodically refreshed. By default, this periodic refresh is performed every 90 minutes with a randomized offset of up to 30 minutes.

But if you have made significant changes than reboot of client computer is suggested.
