Will Intune's "Autopilot Reset" option for a device be able to bring back all Windows built-in programs and Vendor preloaded programs from their original recovery image disk?

All Intune machines that we are rolling come with a Lenovo preloaded image of Windows 11 which have all the Windows 11 built-in programs and vendor-preloaded programs.

We mistakenly involved a script from Github to remove many Windows built-in programs that turned out to be essential to us. Many vendor-preloaded programs were also removed by the script.

As we found out the problem, all device groups have been unassigned from the policy running that script.

My question is which device reset option that will bring back all the Windows built-in programs as well as all vendor preloaded programs? Is that "Autopilot Reset", not "Wipe"?

Thank you for your advice!

@Woody Chiu at RASI Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

From official articles, autopilot reset and wipe action both can reapplies a device's original settings.

Windows Autopilot Reset takes the device back to a business-ready state, allowing the next user to sign in and get productive quickly and simply. And the devices remain enrolled in Intune.

Wipe action without retain enrollment state and user account, it will restore a device to its factory default settings. It means all data, apps, and settings will be removed and the device is removed from intune.

    Hope it will clarify something.
