Hi

We are working to set up an exchange hybrid for our environment, The HCW gets stuck at the hybrid domains page with the following error message:

"no shared domain names have been detected within the exchange online and on-premises organizations"

  • We are running Exchange Server 2016 with the latest CU23
  • We already go through all setup prerequisites.
  • Azour AD Connect was installed on a separate Joind domain machine and it synced successfully.
  • The domain is already verified in office365 and added as an accepted domain in the exchange server.
  • Our local domain is: contoso.com, this is where the exchange server is joined.
  • our users use emails with the contoso.com domain
  • contoso.com is set up as an accepted and authoritative domain in the exchange server.
  • contoso.com is verified in office365 as an accepted domain and authoritative.
  • contoso.com is added in the Active directory as a suffix domain.
  • DNS Records are not configured on the tenant as we need the emails to go through the on-premises server.
  • HCW log appears that our domain is not included in the tenant-accepted domains (I don't know if that's correct!)
  • ADFS Configured and validated successfully.

Hi @ Mahmoud Al Jariri ,

HCW log appears that our domain is not included in the tenant-accepted domains

Please make sure you've added the shared domain as an accepted domain to on-premises Exchange and Microsoft 365 . For example:

    1.       From Active Directory, add contoso.onmicrosoft.com to the UPN suffix list.

    2.       From the Exchange admin center in Exchange Online, modify the contoso.onmicrosoft.com accepted domain.

    3.       In the Microsoft 365 admin center, added contoso.com as a domain.

Please refer to the above steps and check if the issue persists.

Additionally, you could use the Get- AcceptedDomain command to check whether accepted domains were added in Exchange on-premises and Exchange Online.
