Word for Mac: How to add custom spell/grammar checker for native language

On Windows, we can write custom spell checker for Word by setting the Windows registry and provide a DLL. However, how do I achieve this on Mac OS? Is add-on the right way?

Like Grammarly, they can right-click a word and choose from word suggestions. Need advice.
