Problem using $filter=contains

Question

Hi All,

I have a problem calling the calendarview endpoint of msgraph combined with $filter.

This call does not work:

https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me/calendarview?startDateTime=2023-05-24T22:00:00Z&endDateTime=2023-07-03T22:00:00Z&$filter=contains(subject,'myEvent')&$select=subject,organizer,start,end&$orderby=start/dateTime&$top=250

while it works if I put a startdate later than May 24:

https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me/calendarview?startDateTime=2023-05-25T22:00:00Z&endDateTime=2023-07-03T22:00:00Z&$filter=contains(subject,'myEvent')&$select=subject,organizer,start,end&$orderby=start/dateTime&$top=250

it always works if I remove the filter:

https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me/calendarview?startDateTime=2023-05-24T22:00:00Z&endDateTime=2023-07-03T22:00:00Z&$select=subject,organizer,start,end&$orderby=start/dateTime&$top=250

Can anyone explain the source of the problem to me?

Thanks for reaching out. I tried the query you posted and was not able to reproduce the issue. Verify the start date in the output returned when using the CalenderView endpoint without filter and check your calendar in OWA and Outlook to see if the event occurs within the date range used in the filter. If it does, please provide output of the event from the output returned when using the CalenderView endpoint without filter removing PII from the output.

This is indeed strange. I am unable to reproduce the issue. I would suggest opening a support ticket for the issue or post your feedback and comments on the Graph Feedback forum.
