Windows servers not automatically updating with WSUS server.

Question

Hi all. I have setup a WSUS server, but servers connected to the WSUS server arent downloading and restarting automatically.

WSUS auto approves certain updates for all servers, but none of them are updating and restarting.

Group policies (I've checked if they were used by all server, they are):

• Turn off auto-restart for updates during active hours. Enabled start: 8am end: 7pm Specifigy deadline before auto-restart for update installation.
• Quality and feature updates on 2 days Configure automatic updates: Set to 4, everyday on 00:00.
• Specify deadlines for automatic update and restarts. deadline 3 days grace 2 days
• Specifify intranet microsoft update service location: Pointing to WSUS server
• Automatic updates detection frequency: set to 12 hours Turn on recommended updates via automatic updates: enabled

Someone who knows what going wrong here?

Can the servers reach the WSUS server on the required port?

Have you looked at "Get-WindowsUpdateLog" via PowerShell, any errors?

Please check the System event in Event Viewer to confirm if there is any related event has been logged.

Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) is the service used by WSUS to download updates from Microsoft Update to the main WSUS server, and from WSUS servers to their clients. Some download issues may be caused by problems with BITS on the server or client computers. When you troubleshoot download problems, you should ensure that BITS is running properly on all affected computers.
