Hello,

When attempting to open files in the download folder, nothing happens, regardless of the file type.

This has been happening since the last Windows update an only on a 2016 Windows server.

Here are the latest updates applied to the server.

User's image

I don't have detailed information about the use of each kb on microsoft.com

The only way to open the files is to right-click on each file and unlock it in the properties.

Or disable the smartscreen in the security and maintenance center.

Have you ever encountered this problem?

Is there an existing corrective?

Thank you for your interest in my request.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

    1. Please try reset Windows Defender :

Open Start -> Settings, -> Apps, find Windows Security Center, double-click to select Advanced Options, Reset.

    1. If you are downloading using Edge, Please try changing the download location and see if it is still blocked.
