On the new Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2023.526.100 I no longer can find an option to automatically mark messages as read when I delete them. This issue has persisted since I have toggled on the "New Outlook" button in the corner of Outlook.

    Hi @Austin Milliren ,

    Welcome to our forum!

Based on my research, i found that the option is not available in New Outlook for Windows, but only the relevant option about marking messages as read, as shown in the image below.

In the old Outlook I was able to bold and change the color to the new email in the Inbox.

With the new update 1.2023.526.100 where is that option?

    Thanks in advance

My workaround for this was creating a Quick Step that does both of these actions. It appears in your taskbar at the top just like the Delete button so you hit it once and it deletes the email and marks it as read.

To create the Quick Step go to Settings -> Mail -> Quick steps and create a new quick step. I just added the "mark as read" and "move to" "Deleted items" actions and that was it.
