Windows server 2008 R2 cannot install KB5025277

The previous dependency packages for this patch, KB4490628, KB4474419, KB5016892, KB5017397, have been installed. However, during the installation of the last security only update, KB5022835 cannot be installed, and the prerequisites for KB5022835 have also been installed. After installing KB5022835 in the system, an error will be reported when restarting immediately. The Windows update configuration failed and the changes will be restored

May I ask how to solve this?

    Hello there,

I would first suggest you try getting the updates manually and see if you can install them.

You can get the updates by KB (KB5025277) number from the below link

    https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx

Right-click on the start button and select Powershell (admin) or Command Prompt (admin)

Copy each commands and hit enter after you paste each of them

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop cryptSvc

    net stop bits

    net stop msiserver

    Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

    Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

    net start wuauserv

    net start cryptSvc

    net start bits

    net start msiserver

    Reset Windows Update components manually

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/windows-update-resources

Hope this resolves your Query !!

Please run the system update readiness tool.
    https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB947821

    Then post the results of;
    %SYSTEMROOT%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
