Hello,

I have some questions about upgrading Azure Windows OS using SIOS DataKeeper. Let me explain the situation:

  1. I created a VM using an image from the Azure Marketplace "SIOS DataKeeper on Windows Server 2016 - PAYG - x64 gen1"
  2. I already set up WSFC and it works.
  3. I want to upgrade my OS, so I read the blog here, but it only applies to Windows Server, not including SIOS DataKeeper.

=> Question: Can we upgrade the OS version from Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2019 or 2022? If I use the image SIOS DataKeeper on Windows Server 2016 - PAYG - x64 gen1.

I don't have any information about this, thanks for your help!!

    Hello Hoang,

Thank you for your question and for reaching out with your question today.

There is no direct information available as to whether or not this version of DataKeeper is compatible with newer versions of Windows Server. I would recommend upgrading the servers first and then installing the DataKeeper version compatible with that version of server operating system. As with any software, care must be taken when upgrading the operating system that it's installed on.
