Hello,
if a Microsoft 365 application such as Word or Excel is not working properly, sometimes restarting it can fix the problem. If that fails, you can try to repair the application. After completing this process, you may need to restart your computer.
- Right-click the Start Windows button in Windows 8 and Windows 10 (bottom left), and select Apps and Features from the pop-up menu.
- Select the Microsoft Office product you want to repair and choose Change.
- Depending on whether your copy of Office is a click-and-lose or MSI-based installation, you will see the following options for how to proceed. Follow the steps for your installation type.
Click-and-Lose
In the How do you want to repair your Office programs? window, select Online Repair > Repair to ensure that everything is repaired. (The Quick Repair option is also available, which runs faster, but only detects damaged files and then replaces them).
MSI-based
In Change installationOption, select Repair, and then click Next.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the repair.
