I am trying to move a Static web site from GoDaddy to Azure while doing this process I am unable to perform the redirection.

One of them used to fail. So, I went which Cloud Flair for custom domain redirection in which I am getting the CNAME Record is invalid. invalid error,

I am afraid I do not understand what you are trying to accomplish here.

Can you please elaborate more.

Do you have a DNS Zone in Azure?

If so, can you please share the CNAME record entry you have created?

Or in some other third party DNS Registrar?

Or are you trying to add a custom domain to a static webapp

I do not have DNS Zone in Azure. I am using free tier in Azure. If you could suggest which one suits for my static website I will plan to go for it so that I can avoid all dependencies with GoDaddy and Cloud Flair.

I have taken the domain in GoDaddy and earlier my website was hosted in GoDaddy itself and now I am moving to azure. I have moved the nameserver from GoDaddy to Cloud Flare, also updated the nameserver in GoDaddy.

If your site is in Azure or you are planning to migrate to Azure, then I would say it's better to use Azure DNS Zones.

This should help you with easy custom domain updates and even Apex domain

I faced a similar problem using Azure Static WebApp's custom domain addition. I was trying to use a custom domain name without using 'www' in the Azure domain name. Hence, it kept failing validation on Azure CNAME custom failure. The steps should be: Step 1: Goto Azure Static Web App Custom Domain Blade. Use the full domain name like "www.ddd.com" (example domain name) while using the 'Custom Name of external DNS' registration in the Azure portal.

Step 2: the next step is to get the Azure instance association

Step 3: Navigate to your domain name registrar site and use Azure static site instance Value should be set up in your domain name registrar system(say Godaddy's domains DNS->CNAME record-setting) and save it Step 4: Navigate back to your Azure portal and press the add button. HTH Vaibhav
