DB2 AS400 to Azure Data Factory V2

I have a self hosted integration runtime on a VM which has access to DB2 AS/400.

When trying to create a linked server using this integration runtime it returns error

"Cannot connect to the Db2 server. The host resource could not be found. Check that the Initial Catalog value matches the host resource name. SQLSTATE=HY000 SQLCODE=-360 Activity"

Microsoft Oledb for DB2 is installed in the VM, I also added the IP to hosts file but no success.

This article doesn't mention AS/400 as supported and for what I saw, it was on ADF V1 but no longer on V2.

    Hello George Quevin ,

Welcome to the MS Q&A platform.

Did you get a chance to look into the Data Provider Error Codes document?

    User's image

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/host-integration-server/db2oledbv/data-provider-error-codes#drda-protocol-errors

can you please test whether you can connect to DB2 from the SHIR machine using the same connection string?

Can you please test the linked service connection using the ODBC link service?  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-factory/connector-odbc.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
